Business Casual is a five-member a cappella vocal band celebrated for their smart and surprising covers of popular songs. What would Mozart sound like as performed by a salsa band? What if Justin Timberlake was a jazz quartet? Taking inspiration from artists like Postmodern Jukebox and Scary Pockets, Business Casual delights audiences with genre-swapped arrangements of crowd-pleasing tunes.
Since 2012, Business Casual has performed at charity fundraisers, corporate and private events, school workshops, and regional arts festivals in venues big and small across the US and overseas. They have also enjoyed success in several national a cappella competitions, winning championship titles at Harmony Sweepstakes in 2018 and VoiceJam Festival in 2019. Other notable performances include Vocal Asia Festival 2019 in Kagawa, Japan, headlining Los Angeles A Cappella Festival 2020, Varsity Vocals’ Aca Open at Carnegie Hall in New York City, and opening for world renowned a cappella group Naturally 7 at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA.
Business Casual’s arrangements, albums, and music videos have garnered recognition including multiple Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARAs) and A Cappella Video Awards (AVAs), and a perfect 5/5 review from the Recorded A Cappella Review Board (RARB) for their self-titled debut album.
