Mads Tolling & Friends

Mads Tolling is a two-time Grammy Award-Winning Violinist. Mads was born and raised in Denmark, where he started out busking on the streets of Copenhagen with his sister. He moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music, where he was discovered by legendary violinist Jean-Luc Ponty. This led him further west and to join bassist Stanley Clarke’s band and Turtle Island Quartet. Mads now leads his own projects, and he is a member of Bob Weir’s Wolf Bros/Pack.
Mads has invited his musical buddies for a smorgasbord of music, serving up fun-filled nostalgia, new arrangements of familiar tunes and fresh takes on the jazz standards and the not-so-standard, pushing the boundaries of where the violin can go.
